Location and Population Check for your Tower Lease
The location and the surrounding population of your land are the two most important things to consider for your cell phone tower leases.
First, wireless companies check on the area to determine if the area needs a cell tower. If the land you own is located near another tower, putting up a cell tower on your land may not be necessary but just a waste of money for the companies. If your land is not near any other tower but is residentially-owned surrounded by industrial properties, the likelihood that a wireless carrier would use your property for the lease is still very small. On the other hand, since the wireless carriers would install their equipment in the land, its accessibility for their installation and maintenance convenience is an advantage.
Another important thing considered by the carriers is the population. Putting up another cell tower means broadening the service they provide, hitting a bigger market and reaching those people who are yet to experience the service that the company provides. The wireless companies would like to make sure that their investment would be utilized by a lot more people they wish to serve. Having said this, a land with a dense population, preferably urbanized to sub-urbanized is more likely to get a tower lease.
